Craig Shakespeare refused to declare Leicester's survival battle won despite leading his team into the top half of the Premier League table.

Shakespeare's team moved to 10th place after a 2-0 victory against Sunderland on Tuesday that left beleaguered Black Cats boss David Moyes looking doomed to relegation.
The triumph extended Shakespeare's winning run at the start of his Premier League management career to five games and took the Foxes to nine points above the bottom three.

A Chief Medical Director in Calabar and four others have been remanded in the prison in Calabar over an alleged N85million scam.

The Chief Medical Director of University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Professor Thomas. U. Agan, four others have been remanded in prison custody by Justice I. E. Ekwo over an alleged N85million scam.

In a statement by Wilson Uwajaren published on SaharaReporters, Justice Ekwo of the Federal High Court remanded the medical director

Five children were reportedly burnt to death in Abuja after an inferno, triggered by sparks on electric cables, gutted their apartment.

The incident was said to have occurred on Saturday, April 1, in Mpape community, in the Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory.
It was gathered that the sparks on electricity cables in the area started when the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) restored power.

The Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board, has suspended three senior Prisons officers, over the sham release of Bala Ngilari, the former Adamawa governor jailed for corruption.

Ngilari was recently sentenced to five years imprisonment, but a Yola High Court had last week granted him bail on health grounds.
It was later found that the medical report that aided the ex- governor's release was not authorized by the prison authorities.

A polytechnic in Lagos has produced its first prototype of a drone. Lagos City authorities have said, if developed fully, the state could employ the drones for security surveillance.


A talented 17-year-old David Opateyibo heads up the development of a drone which authorities in Lagos hope to deploy for security surveillance. The drone, a high breed mix of existing drone components and locally fabricated material, seems to fly normally but David says there is a lot more room for improvement.
